Dr. Mauer is looking back to more than 27 years of experience as a pediatrician. She is is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Mauer earned a B.S. in Psychology at the University of the Philippines and graduated with an M.D. degree from the University of the East, School of Medicine, in Manila,
Her internship training in pediatrics at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Flushing, NY, was followed by 2 years speciality training at Children’s Hospital, Albany Medical Center, NY where she completed her pediatric residency program 1994.
In 1994 Dr. Mauer joined Pee Dee Pediatrics in Bennettsville, SC, to gain her first experience in private practice.
In 1998 she moved with her family to Georgia where she first worked 2 years at Jonesboro Pediatrics, in Jonesboro as a primary care pediatrician.
2001 she decided to start her own clinic, THE KIDS SPECIALISTS, Henry Pediatrics, in Stockbridge, GA.
Since then she has been providing compassionate, quality pediatric care to the community of Henry County and beyond.
She has been involved in a number of local projects to improve the health and wellbeing of the pediatric population in Henry County. Among others stands her project to foster early reading in young children by linking up with the nationally acclaimed Reach Out and Read program.
She has been named "Top Doctor" in her specialty in the Atlanta region by Atlanta Magazine several times.
Now she is increasingly seeing parents who have been former patients, bringing their children to be seen.
When asked a personal question how many kids she has, she likes to respond, " one biological child and all the others go home after I saw them."
Dr. Mauer also enjoys spending time and traveling with her global family, finds cooking a relaxing art and chills with books and reading.
Dr. Clemons is a board certfied pediatrician and an active Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She attended Morehouse School of Medicine in Georgia where she graduated as M.D. in 2011. Before, she had earned a
B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Spanish at Mercer University in Macon, GA. Her training in Pediatrics was completed in Savannah, GA at the Memorial Health University Medical Center. During her final year of training she was appointed co-Chief of Pediatrics
Dr. Clemons was raised in metro Atlanta. She graduated from Eagle's Landing High School in McDonough and therefore is firmly rooted in the local community.
In 2014, she returned to Henry County to join the THE KIDS SPECIALISTS with a goal to serve patients in her hometown.
She has become a highly valued member of our staff since then and greatly contributes with her initiative and growing experience to our aim to be the medical home for our patients and their families.
Her work as preceptor for Morehouse College of Medicine is helping to develop new talent for the pediatric field. She speaks fluently Spanish.
